Simon is the oldest son of a mother who has survived by participating in the oldest form of survival. He has lived with and been raised for the most part by a grandmother who is elderly. Simon I sponsored by a local attorney and is in Scholastica School in Moshi, Tanzania. His mother currently lives in what Simon describes as “a very bad house”, which means a dung hut of the worst possible type. He dreams of someday being a contractor/engineer and wants to build his mother a “stick” house (wood structure) when he finishes school and is earning a living. Simon speaks excellent English, is a handsome and sweet young man and we have high hopes that his education will allow him to change his life and that of his mother.
